Is this the real casting? Where is Tom Cruise?
- This is the real casting. WB officially confirmed it.
The total budget is only 30 Million US$. Tom Cruise and Brat Pitt alone would get more money for doing the movie.
Update: Tom was offered the role of Lestat, but he declined
Is it a low budget movie?
- For US condition this would be a very cheap movie. Today a normal Action-movie budget is about 60 Million US$.
But most of the movie was made in Australia. Filming there is much cheaper than in Hollywood. And the lack of real stars
leads to lower costs for the cast. Let's hope the VFX Company Manex is doing good work.
Then we will see an impressive looking movie.
What's about the movie "the vampire Lestat"?
- Warner Brothers hold the Film rights for the first three volumes of the vampire chronicles. They decided to combine
"the vampire Lestat" and "the queen of the damned" in one movie.
What's about the soundtrack? Is Aaliyah on the soundtrack?
- The soudtrack is made by Jonathan Davis (Korn) and Richard Gibbs.
Update: Info from Richard Gibbs:
Wayne from Static X is singing 'Not Meant for Me',
David from Disturbed has already performed 'Forsaken',
last night we recorded Chester from Linkin Park doing 'System',
and tomorrow we record Jay from Orgy crooning (I use the term lightly) 'Slept So Long',
and last, drum roll please, Marilyn Manson will be putting his indelible stamp on 'Redeemer'.
In the movie all these 5 songs have the voice of Jonathan Davis.
But he can't appear on the Sountrack. Contract Problems between his Label and Warner Music
